Kreuzberg: vibrant, green, sought-after

Kreuzberg scores with Görlitzer Park, countless cafés and perfect U-Bahn connections. The price: high demand and scarce apartments — especially around Bergmannkiez and Graefekiez.

Neukölln: up-and-coming, diverse, cheaper

Neukölln has long outgrown its insider-tip status. Around Schillerkiez and Reuterkiez the vibe is more relaxed, rents are noticeably lower than in Kreuzberg — often with larger apartments and more greenery.
